Hi Serene! Thank you for speaking with me today! Tell us about your latest release, 'Lovely'!
Lovely was my first time working with a producer on a track and it was such an amazing experience! It made me excited to keep creating and has inspired me to do more collaborations in the future. What was the inspiration for the song?
Lovely is about getting stuck in the "talking phase" and wanting to define the relationship.
Who has been your biggest cheerleader in your career so far?
It's definitely got to be my parents! They're such amazing supporters and they've always got my back. A lot of my friends are also supper supportive either my sharing my music, helping me with photoshoots, or encouraging me to stay consistent!
If there were no roadblocks between you and your dream project, what would that project be?
That project with be a full EP with an epic tour! I’d love to be able to perform all of my music get the full on the road experience, getting to meet fans and play live night after night.
If you could have dinner with an artist past or present and get to talk to them about music, who would it be?
Beyonce! I've always looked up to her because her vocals, performance, and style are always on point!
What do you do when you have writer's block or a creative block? Any go-to ways to shake yourself out of it?
Sometimes I'll use a random word generator to get some weird combination of words going! Then I’ll improv with the song until I come up with a phrase or idea that I want to move forward with. Either that or I’ll talk to my friends and write songs about what’s going on in their lives haha
Any upcoming projects you are working on that we should be on the lookout for?
Yes! I'm working with a couple different producers right now, so I'll definitely be releasing new music soon!
