Music and Inspiration with Sun Kiss!

Thanks for having me!

What have you been working on lately?

I just finished a full length album that i'm in the process of releasing now. But i've also already started writing the next one.

Who inspired you to get into music?

I came from a musical family, started playing really young in church and there was no turning back.

When was the first time you recall thinking that you wanted to pursue music as your career?

Honestly i can't think of a time when i thought i would do anything else.

What is your favorite song you've ever released and why?

I don't have one. I don't like to get too attached to work. You gotta just release it into the ocean and make something new. My favorite song is the one i haven't written yet.

Who are some of the artists currently inspiring you?

I've been really digging Leanne LaHavas lately, Her songwriting and guitar playing is awesome. Also a huge Mac Miller fan. Love the production on his records and his disposition in his lyrics.

Any plans to start performing live as shows pick back up?

I played for the first time in a long time last night in Los Angeles and it felt great. Got a few other little things on the books too.

What is your favourite song to perform? Whichever one the crowd is most stoked on.

What are you hoping to see in the music world as it continues to evolve? Less segregation. Music often is a place where we can come together but things are still weird and reflect society. It's strange to see things as being divisive, that's not where music comes from. Music is the about sharing experience and culture. I wish that was reflected more in the scene.
