Why you'll have to hear 'Remind Me Of You' with Chris Hollacheck to understand why it's what you need to be listening to!

How are you living your best life right now?

I’m shifting towards getting out of the 9-5 life and doing music full time with the exception of some side hustles. At the end of the day, if I can make a full time living off of music and be my own boss, then I’ve made it!

Talk to us about your new music Remind Me of You!

This song is about reminiscing on a past lover and wondering how things might’ve been different if I took some different actions. I don’t encourage people to dwell on past events that they can’t control, however I feel like that’s something we sometimes naturally do. And at the end of the day, my #1 job as a singer/songwriter is to relate to the listener. Also the upbeat, in your face melody, kind of makes up for the sadness and makes it more of a "pump you up" kind of song. You’ll have to hear it to understand!

When do you know when a song is done, DONE?

This one I’ve refined a few times. As I’ve developed and grown more as a singer, I’ve learned how to fit songs more to my natural baritone vocal range, which means tweaking the key a bit. Once I finally got it to a key that felt the most comfortable after recording myself singing it multiple times, I then felt confident enough to send it off to my producer and cutting it.

Where did the title come from?

I’m not really sure. It just came when I started writing the song. It’s one of those songs I pictured the feeling of it before I pictured the title.

How did you become inspired to make this song?

It came from a breakup (of course lol), and it was more of a therapy tool to cope with the loss at a time I felt like I couldn’t talk to anyone about it. Modern day breakups can be difficult in the age of ghosting so sometimes you have to give yourself the closure that the other person is too afraid to give you.

How did you approach this song vs. songs past?

Each song varies in its process, but I’m pretty sure this song only took me about 15 minutes to write, which is usually a very good sign that the song is gonna do well!

What are you most excited about the new single?

I had some of Nashville’s heavy hitters join me on this single like Billy Decker (mixed and mastered 16 #1 hits by Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Rodney Atkins, Parmalee, and many more) and Kent Slucher (Luke Bryan’s drummer)!

Can you leave us with some inspiration for our audience and how they can live their best lives?!

Focus on you and your purpose first and the rest will follow. And don’t follow your purpose for vanity reasons like fame, fortune, or proving haters wrong, but do it because you absolutely love doing it and it brings you the most joy in life!
