RILEY RESA, A TRUE STAR THAT'S TRUE TO HERSELF

We are so excited to being speaking to rising Pop artist Riley Resa where we talk about her self-titled EP, hurdles in 2020 and staying true to herself!

Hello Riley!! Thank you for taking the time to interview with us!! Tell us what you have in the works right now musically?!

Thank you so much for having me! I just released a 5 song EP, Riley Resa that's out now on most streaming platforms! I recently also visited Nashville with Hutch Down Records where we filmed 2 performance style music videos at Analog in the Hutton Hotel. And now I'm just focusing on writing and hope to release some new music soon!

What’s your biggest hurdle you’ve had to overcome as an artist in 2020?

2020 has been very hard when it comes to performing during COVID. I absolutely love being on stage so it has been really hard for me since most festivals and performances have been cancelled.

What trend in music do you want to follow? What trend do you want to avoid?

I would love to follow the collaboration trend and collaborate with some of my favorite artists! However, I definitely don’t want to fall down the path of copying other artists. It’s always ok to pull inspiration from your idols, but always make sure you are staying true to who you are!

What’s the theme in your life that spills over into your music?

I tend to write a lot of my music about overcoming my personal challenges. For example, my first song was written about my bullying experience and how I dealt with staying true to myself.
