The Brkn is an alt pop band based out of Denver, CO.

How are you being bold as this year wraps in your music?

I’d say we’re taking a lot more action with trying to get more streams and really putting ourselves out there fearlessly. Honestly we have this weird “it’s now or nothing” feeling and it’s firing us up. As far as musically we’re making a new record that’s going to be far more in the direction we want to take the band for the long haul. A bit of a “find our sound” journey if you will. How are you leaving off this year and what are your hopes for the future of your music? We’re leaving this year having done our first UK/EU tour and a whole new group of fans that we can’t wait to get new music out for. We’re working on writing the new album now and are chomping at the bit to get a single out soon. Are you planning extensively or are you allowing your music tide to take you on its own? Honestly we’ve been trying to plan out our whole career from the start. It feels like haha. But to be honest things seem to work out on their own if you just keep your head to the grind and your eyes open for opportunities so that’s kind of what we’re doing. Just following the path that was already laid for us. As you get to know yourself better musically, what is your biggest lesson learned this year? I’d say we learned to trust ourselves a bit more and know that what we naturally come up with is sick as long as we love it, you know? Just making music that really moves us instead of trying to please the market. Gaining the success you are seeing, tell us what has been the proudest moment for you so far? Honestly my proudest moment was actually having fans in the UK/EU that knew our music and had heard us before. That was a wild thing to think about. We can't wait to grow the family worldwide even more and share the love we have for this band with anybody and everybody who feels the same. Give us your social media to link our audience to becoming fast fans! As you beat to your own drum, tell our audience what has helped you the most in finding your own beat for your career? I would say just listen to yourself and take any and every opportunity to learn that’s given to you. Don’t be afraid to fail, take chances, and always be true to who you are.
