Lockyer Boys (Will and Charlie Lockyer) are brothers born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Entertaining crowds with stage presence far beyond their years made them an immediate show-stopper at festivals, concerts, and event openings. The pop artists are currently completing their DEBUT ALBUM which features their poignant songwriting as well as songs co-written with Jeff Dawson, Shawn Hook, Scott Helman, Daniel Powter, Brian Howes, Steve Bays, Alan Poettcker, and Akylla.

Give us the set up of how your latest music came to be?

Our song ‘Daisy’ started with a reference from an Indie Band called LAUNDRY DAY. The song was “Red Roses”. We fell in love with the bass hook and the edgy but groovy production. We quickly agreed to make a song like that in our bedroom studio and a couple months later, with the help from producers Alan Poettcker and Jeff Dawson, we had a finished product! However it was now more pop and upbeat, which is totally up our alley.

What is setting your music apart from what is being heard in the music industry today?

In an increasingly stressful world, we feel like people put on their headphones to escape reality. That’s why we try to fuel our music with as much positivity and fun as possible. That’s our job!

How are you multiplying the ways your music is being heard?

Recently we have been able to play amazing shows with artists like Fefe Dobson, Sacha, and more. We’ve also had lots of fun touring schools and sharing our music with the younger generation.

Why is it so important for you to continue to make new music that matters?

As our fan base grows, we hear more and more stories about families bonding over our music, or one of our songs comforting someone in difficult times. We love these stories and they keep us motivated to make more music and have it help people.

What does your latest music say about you?

Being brothers, people have always mentioned that we bring a good time and put on a show with anything we do. When we record, we do whatever comes to our mind and make it very spontaneous and fun!

What is the message you are trying to convey for your fans?

Have fun and always look on the bright side. We prioritize the fun in what we do and I think that translates in our music and our shows.

Keeping up with you is always fun, where can our audience listen to you NEXT?

We love connecting with our fans on social media and they can tune in on any of our accounts to stay updated! @lockyerboys

Leave us with a meaningful story that connects to your latest music that is the ultimate takeaway for your fans?

We had someone reach on behalf of a young fan whose father had passed away. We had heard that our music was a big part of their relationship and that it was helping her stay in good spirits throughout a very difficult time. We were lucky to have been able to surprise her with her family and give them something to smile about. It was very touching for us and it motivated us to continue to be a positive influence in people’s lives.
