What stands out to you as being the piece of music that has changed the game for the industry?

I truly don't believe any one piece of music has changed the game. I would instead argue that the change in society, and the accessibility to create music is what has changed the game for the industry. You are a game changer yourself... how do you want to change the game with YOUR music?

My way of turning heads and starting a conversation is through not only my story but the style of music I write and create. Music has changed so much and I truly believe that there is music that lasts a moment and music that can last a lifetime. The style of music I write is music you can listen to and get something from regardless of your age or background. Those are the two ways I plan on changing the narrative and at least a piece of the game in music today. How are you putting together your next project?

I am getting ready to head to LA to work with Mikal Blue on my newest EP. I have some really great tracks I have put together and begun to finish writing the foundations for. This project is going to incorporate way more musicality than my last and the same if not even more of my heart. Who are you collaborating with?

Currently for my next EP I will be collaborating with Mikal Blue and many other musicians in LA. I will also be collaborating with my piano player and dear friend Jonathan Campbell on each track as well. Who are you giving credit to when it comes to how this upcoming music is being made?

I will give credit where it is due as the music comes together. Currently I write all my own lyrics, however when you're put in the room with great minds, great things happen so credit I am sure will be spread throughout this next project. Biggest lesson so far this year that you are taking into this summer?!

The biggest lesson I can say is patience and the ability to realize that for a good portion of the beginnings of my career, I will need to be my biggest advocate. Self awareness and understanding of the process is my biggest lesson. What is something EPIC you're doing this summer to contribute to your art?

I am traveling out to LA for the first time and elevating my career to the next level. I am packing up and leaving NYC to go and work on my next album with a well known producer and going to truly put everything I have on my career and the music. You are just EPIC! Give us everything we need to keep up!

As of now I am beginning to work on my next big EP that is still untitled and I will be doing shows in NYC throughout September until I leave. All information on show dates and more can be found on my website, which is and my social media all under the name @rhaysofficial

Leave our audience a word or phrase on how they could live their best lives too!
