Hello! Great to speak with you!
What have you been working on lately?
I've been working on new music which consists of alternative rock, funk, and soul. I've been working on some of these songs since the early 2000's, and have finally reached the point of releasing the music along with a video for the first single "We The People".
If you had to describe your music in three words, what would they be?
The three woods I would use to describe my music would be electrifying, stimulating, and intense.
If you could duet with anyone, who would it be?
I really would love to do something with STING. He's a great singer/songwriter and musician.
What is your favorite show performance experience so far?
That's a loaded question because I've had so many performance experiences that were amazing. I would have to say "Madonnathon '' was one of my favorites. I was covering "Bitch,I'm Madonna", which I converted to "Bitch Black Madonna", and we added a more rock edge to the song. It was like pop rock/grunge/hip hop. Might I add, I did Nicki Minaj's rap part as well. I had a big afro wig on, and at the end of the song, the afro was off and the crowd went wild. "Bitch Black Madonna". LOL
What would you say are some of your greatest accomplishments as an artist?
Some of my greatest accomplishments are winning The National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts, a 1991 Presidential Scholar in the Arts, The Juilliard School of Music Alumni, performing at The 2001 Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway, and many more.
