THE PRIORITIES OF GRAYHUNTER
Why Grayhunter prioritizing their music and mental health is helping them live their best life!
How are you living your best life right now?
We've been focusing more on our mental health. Now that NYC has reopened, we are able to keep ourselves sane and grounded again by doing the things we love like going on quick weekend getaways, spending time with loved ones, and most importantly playing music. Prioritizing our mental health is helping us live our best life. What music should new fans be listening to? New fans should definitely listen to our latest release, "Waves"! They should also check out "Biodiversity", the debut single from our guitarist Dave Cooper's solo project The Pursuit of Color. And frontwoman Reisha Cadelina released a song with Did We Just titled "St. Nobody's Day". Performing live? Yes, thank goodness! We have a show scheduled in NYC this September. Details are still under wraps, but everyone can follow us on social media for announcements and updates. Any advice you can give to artists out of experience? The most important thing is to have a clear message as an artist and to make sure that whoever you collaborate with understands that message and has the skill set to help you work towards your goals. Whether you decide to work with someone you've known for 5 weeks or 5 years, if they can't picture what you envision, it will inevitably lead to complications. Also, it's beneficial to work with people who have different musical influences, so make sure to remain open-minded and always leave room for their notes and creativity. Who are you most inspired by in this industry? Just a few of our many influences include System of a Down, Journey, Rush, The Joy Formidable, Pat Metheny, G-Dragon, and Josh Ramsay. Socials please!
