THE TRUE FEELINGS OF MODERN AMUSEMENT
Modern Amusement expresses to us to share with the fans his emotional and musical journey.
How are you living your best life right now? Right now I am expressing myself by sharing my true feelings through my music with the world and creating connections through art, and if that's not my best life I don't know what is! What ways have you changed your life to be able to live your best life? I used to struggle with my self esteem quite a bit, so the biggest change I was able to make to improve my life was to change my perspective on myself in a more positive light. I used to prevent myself from doing what I loved just because I thought nobody would care or I wasn't good enough for it to matter, but once I started blocking that negative voice out I was able to do anything I wanted to and feel confident about it, which is what I do now! What music should new fans be listening to? My personal favorite songs I've put out so far as Modern Amusement are The Miserable Losers, I Want You Tonight, and I Have A Crush On Lisa Loeb. I think those songs represent my sound and who I am in general best, so I would recommend those if you want to check out Modern Amusement to give them a spin! Performing live? Modern Amusement will be performing some live shows around our great state of Minnesota throughout the fall and into winter, please check out our website for dates and venues if you'd like to come see us, we'd love it! Any advice you can give to artists out of experience? I would say if you don't feel like you're getting much return for all your effort starting out, just keep doing what you're doing and working hard, it can take a while for something to pay off but don't give up, if you work hard enough people will start to notice! Who are you most inspired by in this industry? I am most inspired by the alt-rock/emo bands I've been listening to since I was young. Weezer, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance are all bands that helped me form my sound and also showed me it was okay to be vulnerable in your lyrics and put yourself out there and be yourself. I can safely say I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing these days without those bands helping me find my way. Upcoming projects you can share with us? I am currently working on the second Modern Amusement album! The album title is still yet to be decided but all the songs are ready to be recorded. It's going to be sort of emo throwback, like that mid-2000's goodness, so if that's your kind of thing I think you'll like it! We have some very talented musicians recruited for this album and I'm very excited to announce them all once we get to the finishing stages! Socials please!
