What is your favorite holiday film?
I grew up watching “Jingle All the Way” every year during Christmas time, and it’s a hit in our family! There’s a famous line in there where Arnold Schwarzenegger accidentally says to his wife on the phone “You’re my number one customer!” And my dad would joke and say that to me when I’d ask him to buy me too many Christmas gifts growing up! Haha!
What is the best gift you have ever given?
Do you remember the obstacle course reality TV show called “Wipe Out”? Well when I lived in LA I met someone at a friend’s party who was good friends with one of the producers on that shat show. My brother loved that show and had always talked about being a contestant on it - when that came up in conversation, this guy at the party gave me his info and said he could get my brother on the show, no problem. And of course, I was stoked! So for a gift that year I gave my brother a card that said, “You’re gonna be on Wipe Out!” He was so excited! So I put my brother in touch with that guy to kick off the casting process, and … never heard back! LOL! After several times of reaching out, my brother and I gave up! So it was the best gift ALMOST given haha!
What is the best gift you have ever received?
This year particularly was a really special Christmas. The last four years of mine and my man's relationship consisted of living in our RV and saving up to move to Nashville, then spending money actually moving to Nashville, and then living in a brand new city in an RV so we’ve been pretty conservative with Christmas gifts, due to sacrificing to be able to relocate from California to Nashville to pursue music. But we became homeowners in Nashville this year and moved out of the RV, so it was pretty special to be able to experience Christmas together for the first time in our house! And THAT was the best gift!
Would you rather spend the holidays in the mountains or at the beach?
Being from Southern California, I’m a BEACH girl! But for Christmas, it’s the mountains for me!
When do you feel you are at your personal best?
When I’m at peace, trusting in God’s plan for my life! I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was 6, and it’s a brutal industry! There are so many highs and lows, and your career is always changing - consistency is rare! So it’s easy to feel all over the place and get discouraged. So no matter what’s going on, the only way I’ve found to stay sane is my relationship with God and trusting in His promises!
Is there anything you would like to master?
I picked up keys last year and I’d love to become a master at the piano!
